Power Balance classes at Extend HealthCo promote early intervention to improve balance and prevent falls. Classes are led by physiotherapists alongside our own personal trainer, and incorporate traditional and cutting-edge balance-challenging tasks.
Power Balance classes are specifically designed physiotherapy led classes tailored to small groups focusing on different aspects of balance – dual task capacity, flexibility, sensory function, strength and control.
Each workstation in the Power Balance circuit has four levels of progressively more demanding activities for every rehabilitation goal, providing a challenge for any age group!
These classes are based on research that shows balance and cognition changes occur at a younger age than most people realise and Power Balance welcomes people aged 50 and upwards.
These classes involve two session per week (Mondays and Thursdays) at 12.30pm for 5 consecutive weeks. Extend run two programs per year. Each class is limited to 8 participants.
